Change Your Thinking, Change Your Results

Find a place with trees, wind and breath stopping scenery.  Stop, Stand, Face the Wind.  Slowly close your eyes and focus on hearing, feeling the wind.  Listen for those calming breezes that speak peace to your stress anchored mind.  Simply relax and take in this God-given gift of tranquility.

Take a DEEP BREATH and then release it with every fragment of your self-induced concerns.
This is the Quiet
The Peace
The Healing Sights and Sounds your mind, body and soul have desperately yearned for and have been ignored.

Don’t leave.  You just got here.  Stay grounded.  Do not be so quick to move on to the next new experience for this one is not over.  Unwind and completely consume this life-giving, refreshing change from the rat race you have bought into.

Did you just hear that?  The wind is speaking again:
Slow Down
Cool Down
Wind Down
Think no thoughts.  Dwell in this moment.  Do not check out.  Stay checked in.

When you decide that it is time to leave, do not forget this free gift of silence that speaks of freedom, liberty from insidious voices, healing and energy.

Do not look for a personal invitation to return to this place in the form of a letter, text, phone call, email or knock at your door.
I do not live in your Universe.  You reside in mine.  I am waiting for your return.

By the time you reach, (or reached) 35 years of age, 90% of what you do requires no real thought!  Spend a few minutes contemplating the previous sentence.  Almost everything you do, you simply do it.  Put the keys in your car ignition as an example. How much time does it take for you do accomplish this?  You don’t even spend seconds considering it do you.  It’s just done.  Pick up a fork to eat your favorite meal.  Once again, there is no consideration as to how to configure this action.   You simply grab the fork and dig in!  Walking or running for exercise.  You think, decide and do all in less than a second. For all the many positive things you do every single day, such actions have been determined for years!  Humans are all conditioned human beings from birth until now.

The challenge is that the same examples can be used for negative thought patterns.  The reasons are limitless as to why, but you keep getting the same negative behaviors and outcomes in your life.   This is why you are reading this blog.  This is why you have made a fantastic choice to take on this 30 day journey.  You want to change you’re thinking because you are getting the same crappy results!  What you will do is rewire your old hardwired way of thinking.

You have probably had to rewire an electric cord sometime in your life.  One of our too many televisions sets in my home went on the blink.  One of our too many pets decided to chew on the cord while the cord was not attached to the electric outlet thank God!  Now the tv works again.  But to get what was damaged, not useful working, I had to cut the cord, strip the outer layers of rubber, rewire the electric lines to each other, wrap electrical tape around the new connections and bingo.  Now the television works and my kids can watch, ‘Spongebob Squarepants,’ ‘Top Chef-Vegas,’ ‘Discovery Channel,’ and enjoy taking time to learn or simply laugh.  You will be doing the same thing with your mind that I did with the tv.  Rewiring negative, non-productive, damaging, destructive thought patterns that exhibits new thought paradigms. New thinking, new results and one happy camper!

Your brain is a miracle.  There really are no words to describe this ‘gift’ God has given you.  Thousands of neural networks, interwoven to create thought patterns.  Many needed, many useful and creative habits.  Yet some impair you, cause you pain, disappointment, even maybe a the thought can I ever succeed.  You act as you do because it is what you truly believe. You are what you produce. “As a man thinks in their heart, so is he,’ Proverbs 23:7. But what is wired can be rewired.  What is useful can be strengthened and those thought alliances that must be torn down can be.  So let’s get started.

You have your conscious and subconscious.  You probably know a ton about the conscious because this is where ‘you live.’  ”I think, therefore I am,” declared Rene Descartes.  But to change your habitual way of thinking will need to come from your subconscious.  Your six intellectual faculties included your will, reason, perception, imagination, memory and intuition.  And your imagination will be a key ingredient in getting you to new and powerful thought processes.

The imagination is not ‘kids stuff.’  What is the ‘adult’ purpose for your imagination?  Was it only to be employed as a child in elementary school?  For games with your friends when you were Superman or Spiderman, an astronaut flying into outer space, the first girl president of the United States, etc.?  Investigate one of the most admired, respected leading thinkers of our time Albert Einstein when he wrote, “When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge.”

So how does the imagination lead to the kind of thinking and results that you want?  Memorize the following:
1. a positive thought (conscious) produces desire
2. a positive desire, (subconscious) creates emotion
3. a positive emotion compels you to action
4.  a positive action gets you results

The conscious part of you accepts and rejects information.  The subconscious only ‘accepts’ what you believe as real, correct, truth and it is from the subconscious that you act, not the conscious.  This is why like all great thinkers, Bob Proctor, John Assaraf, Tony Robbins, Mary Morrissey, Albert Einstein, you must focus in on changing your conscious thinking and beliefs via your subconscious.  Please view the video I will be putting on my Facebook homepage.  See, discover that this is you and the opportunity you have to live as you deserve and desire.

Start each morning off in a positive fashion! First thoughts that are exciting, first actions are progressive, forget about the internet, news, any work and prepare yourself.  Put on music that invigorates you, quote successful thoughts that gives you a great feeling. When you feel good you are ready to move forward.  This is critical, vital, pivotal,  urgent, serious, consequential, momentous, key, impactful, central, essential, fundamental. When you start off on the right foot, your energy for taking the time to create something positive is at a high level.  Begin your day on the wrong foot, negative thinking which directs you to procrastinate, you are screwed!  And this is a HUGE issue for some of you readying this blog.  You must start each day ready to rock and roll!

For these next thirty days, choose one or two of the most important paradigms you want to recreate.  If it has taken years to develop and live in habits that are not productive, you will not completely change you’re thinking patterns in 30 days.  This is why I highly recommend you work on one or two issues.  Once successful you will have the courage, desire and tenacity to move forward on other areas for personal improvement.

When you are positioned in a relaxed state, you can have very quiet music playing in the background, (screamo is not recommended!) scanning a beautiful sky or even a soothing screen saver to assist in building the right frame of mind.

Now close your eyes and begin to visualize what it is you are here for.  What is the correct way you want to think and see yourself  actually involved in the picture.  Here are several examples.Pool You have a pool in your backyard.  Visualize  how cool or warm the temperature is.  Do you feel it?   Was it cool or warm?  What is the sound of water  like when you lift your foot out and the water splash’s back into your pool?  Since your foot is used to the  crystal, clear water, now put in your foot up to the ankle.  How does your body react to the water?  This  example gives you sight, creativity, sound, and sensation.  Imagine riding alone on a Harley Davidson  motorcycle on a straight stretch of highway with no one around you.  Harley 2Feel the vibration of the engine,  hear the sound of the motor, feel the wind whipping though your hair, (or on your head if you need hair!)  looking out and exploring mountains, or a  lake, a farm, etc.

Now take this example and transfer the picture of what you just experienced into what is it you want to accomplish!  And as you visualize it, also speak out what you want.  ”I will no longer react instantly in anger.  I am in control of my emotions” and see yourself acting in such a way within your imagination towards those you struggle with containing your anger.  View yourself as responding and not reacting.  Or use your fantasy as seeing yourself pushing through that fear that has captured you for so long and held you back from obtaining what it is you want.  ”I’m so grateful that I have the courage to be honest.”  ”I so grateful that I made the sale.”  ”I’m on an airplane and I am not filled with fear.”  ”I can make good, strong decisions.”  ”Look at me, I am a solid leader.”  ”I am succeeding in this business.”

What is literally taking place within your brain is amazing!  Old hard, negative, destructive networks are slowly but surely being broken down. Creative, faith building, powerful and positive networks are either being reinforced or taking shape.  Think about this.  You are truly creating the life you want to live.  Isn’t that incredible?  That God would give you the ability to create the life you know you want to be living!

Persistence, consistent persistence is a law for success.  Do not become discouraged.  This is one of your biggest problems, so why continue to live this same lifestyle?  Stick with this for 30 days. You are building an intellectual habit that will change your life. Each week I will personally email you in Facebook to see how you are doing.  Please share what is really transpiring in your journey.  Are you experiencing forward movement, struggling, seeing improvement, excited?  The stories you share I will then ‘FB’ with everyone on this team as a way of learning from you as well as encouraging others.

Thank you for joining me for these next 30 days.  Change your thinking and change your results!

1.  Don’t Follow the Hype. Track down a business that you will be passionate about.  Plenty of opportunities to choose from.  But you will only give the appropriate effort based on your own personal commitment and excitement.

2.  Don’t Do it Your Way. Once you become successful you can develop your own plan.  Be coachable and follow the ‘process’ taught by those who are already successful.  This will fast track your business and alleviate some unnecessary stress.

3.  Every Day. Do something positive in your business daily to build your business, dreams and goals.  This will create energy and keep you moving forward.  Forget a day or two and the passion begins to lose some of its spark.

4.  Stay Others Focused. Caring and living needs centered will drive business to you.  People can tell in just a few seconds when they are being sold.  As Napoleon Hill taught in his classic work, ‘Think and Grow Rich,’ give everyone you meet, “the impression of increase.”

5.  It Takes Effort! This is one of the major challenges in network marketing.  Part-time, only several hours a week, and my favorite one, we will build the business for you. YIKES!
a.  Yes is is possible with only a few hours if that time is uninterrupted and completely dedicated with a purpose.
b.  The bigger your goal, the more effort and time is required.  But, (big but) if you love what you do, time will not be an issue.

6.  Finish, don’t just start. Anyone can run a 100 yard dash.  But to win in a business, you have to be willing to commit to a marathon.  There are more graveyards in this world from people who started and then quit than can be counted.  Graves are where people are placed who gave up.  I’ll take a temporary defeat over failure any day, any time.  Those who finish are the champions raising the trophy, enjoying the fruits of their labor and strategizing a new goal or two.  Which one are you?

Today I read a posting on my Facebook page from a friend who is very discouraged.  He has been struggling to find a decent job for going on three years.  In this nasty economy, companies have the choice of anyone they want to fill positions at salaries which are below the national average scale.  Almost 10% of Americans are currently out of work!  So how the heck does anyone stay on their game, up in their attitude and not quit on their personal dreams while daily experiencing the stress of paying their mortgage and feeding their family?

The portion of the following written piece has been taken from Tony Robbins, ‘Law of Success Part 1.”  I encourage you to slowly read this offering a number of times.  In a global financial crunch that so many of us are facing, this is not a reason or excuse to quit on our dreams, our desires, hopes and God inspired dreams.

Keep your image, stay in an attitude of gratitude and move forward.

“A young boy was once facing a Thanksgiving without much to eat. He and his family were too proud to go to the local charity. Yet, early that afternoon, there was a knock on the door and he opened it to a tall man with a large basket of Thanksgiving feast, turkey, vegetables, pies and all manner of sweets and fixings. That day that young man determined to have enough resources in his future to be able to gift many people as his family had been gifted that day.

When he was 18, he had been working and he bought one complete meal for a 2 local families who had nothing. As he gave the food to the first family, playing the part of delivery man, the woman thanked him with such gratitude that he cried as he left. He continued this practice each year and his personal charity grew. He invited friends to join and they helped purchase the food and deliver the food.

Anthony Robbins suggests that we decide what’s important to us, and “then take MASSIVE ACTION each day to make it better, even when it doesn’t look as if it’s working.” He calls this Personal Power. With personal power, he explains, we don’t give up and we learn from our mistakes.

Colonel Sanders had two years of “nos” before he heard his first “yes.” He was refused 1009 times. Walt Disney was turned down 302 times before he got the financing to build Disney World.

The thing that all successful people have in common is that they focus on what they want, not on what they don’t have. They are grateful for what they have.

When down, we have to accept where we are, but also accept that where we are is not where we will be. We have to discard any “learned helplessness”! We can’t give in to discouragement or the pain of past failures. Colonel Sanders did not give in even after two years of straight “nos”!

Thomas Edison once said, “I’m not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.”

Along these lines Tony Robbins promises us, “Your past does not equal your future. No problem is permanent. No problem affects my entire life. This too shall pass if I continue to take massive, positive, constructive action.” He then went from living hand to mouth to more than a million dollar net worth in less than one year.

This is something we all can learn, but we have to start here. Our future is not our past. Massive Action will move  us from where we are.”

“Don’t quit, don’t ever quit.”  Jim Valvano

I hate to agree with someone who was demonized, insane and caused death and damage that will last for generations.  But Adolf Hitler was correct when he coined the phrase, “What luck for rulers that men do not think.”

Did you know that by the time you reach 35 years of age that 90 percent of what you do, you never think about? Everyone has 168 hours in a week.  Give yourself an average of six hours of sleep per night which lower the total to 126 hours.  Then there is tv time.  I’ll be nice; say only four hours per day, (much worse according to the L.A. Times. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/technology/2008/11/americans-now-w.html) which subtracts another 28 hours in a week. Final total is: 118 hours which means on a conservative schedule, only eleven hours per week do you find yourself not just acting but really thinking!

Your neural networks are so hard wired by your Dad and Mom’s interactions, reinforced experiences, rejections, success stories, anger, fears, work habits and so on that only 10 percent of the time do you find yourself thinking creatively.  Now that is scary!  So almost everything you do you don’t think about it.  You just do whatever because you are conditioned to act this way.

Query someone as to why they often become angry within a moments notice.  Their response will probably sound like this, ‘I really don’t know.  I’ve been this way for as long as I can remember.’  And how about your friend or family member who just seems to always only view the negative side of life or when confronted with a problem, they focus on the problem and not solutions.

So how about you?  Does any of the above remind you of yourself or your former self?  Feel free to share.
